Be patient ! Don't make any rash & costly decisions for a couple of months ! My new 3.6s have a mere 50 hours on them and they're still in the process of improving and I expect it will be this way for 2 more months at least ! One thing I found helpful is one hour of the XLO/RefRec burn-in track everyday before I listen. The 3.6s need an hour to mellow & bloom -- every day -- in addition to the general break-in. Also, they're sensitive to changes in the quality of the house current. Where I live the temperature has shifted into the 90s and everybody in town has turned on their AC. This really degrades the current, making the sound hard, hashy, piercing at times & shreiky if you have the wrong CDs. [& I do have a line conditioner & a "dedicated" line to my listening room.
