The acoustic centers of your speakers tilted 8 degrees forward and 7 feet away is 23 inches lower than upright speakers and only 13 inches off the ground.
I believe that the soundstage of your speakers will benefit from the speakers being raised by 23 inches. The perceived height of soundstage will still be the same (as this is determined by the tilt angle) but you will have great clarity, focus and coherence of the sound.
I know its not easy to raise the speakers so much but try it if you can.
