John,I also have a Krell 300i that I had had some time. I have read many posts both on this board and others dising the amp. It is hard to tell many times how objective these folks are or in fact how knowledgable they are. I have used it with great success with other speakers in the past, including Magnepan 3.3's.
However that said, it does seem a bit bright with my new 1.6's.I have a very well treated, maybe too well treated, rear wall (sonex). Are you using or have you tried the attenuators on the tweeters when using the 300i?
Any other thoughts?
